OTTAWA, Kan. - The Bethel College men's basketball team got back into KCAC play after the Thanksgiving holiday break as they took on the Ottawa Braves.

Despite shooting 40% from three-point range, the Threshers trailed by eight points at the intermission as the Braves knocked home five more shots in the opening half.Â

Nick Bonner led the way for BC with 8 points in the opening 20 minutes of play.
Jalyn Todd was 3 of 4 from the floor and 1 of 1 from deep, scoring 7 points in the half.

After trailing at the intermission, Bethel got within six points early in the second half, but the Braves responded. Ottawa was able to build their lead up to as much as 17 points with just under five minutest left to play.Â

Bethel used an 8-2 run to get back into the contest with just two and a half minutes left in the contest.
Keyaun Hoskin cut the lead to single digits with a pair of free throws, making the score 77-68.Â

The Threshers tried to make a late run, but fell short of the Braves 90-84.

The difference in the contest came at the charity stripe where Ottawa made seven more attempts than Bethel. Both teams made nearly an identical number of shots from the field and three-point range.
