HASTINGS, Neb. - In game one of the Bronco Classic, the Bethel College women's basketball team fell to the host Hastings College 86-69.
The Threshers trailed by just one point following the first ten minutes of play in Nebraska. The second quarter saw the Broncos outscore the Threshers by nine to take a 10 point lead into the intermission, 42-32. Bethel closed out the half on a 9-2 run, getting back in the contest before the intermission.
Kendall Locke led the Threshers in the first half with 10 points, 6 in the second quarter.
The second half started out with the Broncos extending their lead early in the third quarter before the Threshers went on a run to cut the lead to as little as seven points. Hastings pulled away in the later half of the third as they held on to a 69-53 lead after three complete. The Threshers were once again outscored by just one point in the fourth as they scored 16 to the Broncos 17.Â
