OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Bethel College men's basketball team finished up their three game road trip to begin their 2023-24 campaign against the Mid-America Christian Evangel. After trailing by double-digits in the second half, the Threshers rallied back to take the contest 51-49.

The first half was capped off by the Threshers taking their first lead of the opening 20 minutes right at the buzzer.
Brayden Schilling tipped in a missed shot from
Nick Bonner to give BC the 29-28 advantage at the break.

Bethel was led in scoring by
Jalyn Todd in the opening 20 minutes with 9 points on four of four shooting from the field.

After allowing the Evangel to score the first 11 points of the second half, Bethel went on a 20-4 run, taking a six point advantage. Bonner led the charge for the run scoring all 11 of his second half points, shooting 3 of 4 from downtown. During the run, Bethel went 6 of 11 from three point range.

The Threshers held the lead for the final eight minutes of the contest after taking the 43-41 advantage. Bethel was able to keep their distance by making their free throws down the stretch, keep MACU at an arms length.
