Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Four Threshers score in double figures as Women's Basketball defeats Southwestern 83-75

WINFIELD, Kan. - In their final KCAC road contest before the winter break, the Bethel College women's basketball team was powered by four double-digit scorers as they took down Southwestern College 83-75.

After trailing for the entirety of the first quarter, the Threshers picked up the pace and the defense in the second quarter.

Bethel outscored Southwestern by nine points in the second ten minutes, holding them to just ten points as a team.

The third quarter was similar to the first in which the Moundbuilders outscored the Threshers by two points. It was different in the fact Bethel led by as much as 15 points early in the quarter but had it cut down to just two around the three minute mark.

The Threshers responded by going on an immediate 10-0 run to push their lead back to 12.

After Southwestern cut the Bethel lead back down to two to begin the final quarter, Bethel once again answered the bell by pushing it back up to double digits before taking the contest 83-75.
