NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Women's Basketball team found themselves on the wrong side of a 65-48 contest with their rival the Tabor Bluejays despite having three score in double figures.
Both teams struggled shooting the ball from deep in the opening quarter as they were a combined 0 for 8. The Bluejays held onto a four point, 14-10 lead after the opening ten minutes of play.Â
Bethel cut the Tabor lead down to two to open the second quarter, but the Bluejays were able to slowly stretch their lead to as much as 13 points in the frame. Bethel trailed by 11 heading into the intermission 31-20.Â
Tabor was able to pull away in the third quarter building their lead up to as much as 21 points before coasting to a 65-48 victory in the fourth quarter.Â

The difference in the contest came at the charity stripe where Tabor shot 25 attempts and Bethel shot just 11.

Five Threshers scored in the loss led by
Jasmine Peete with a team high 14 points.
Two other Threshers joined Peete in double figures as

Brianna Clark added 10.
The battle on the backboards saw an advantage in favor of the Bluejays of 44-34.
Tabor outscored Bethel in the paint 30-24.
Bethel pulled in 9 offensive boards that led to 10 second chance points.
Peete recorded her 7th double-double of the season.
