NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Men's Tennis team took on the Doane Tigers one day after canceling their match against Texarkana due to weather. The Threshers beat the Tigers 5-2, winning the doubles point.
Michael Cech and
Petr Kollar played in the #1 doubles spot where they picked up a 6-2 victory.
Milan Bucek and
Tomas Quercia played in the #2 doubles spot where they won 6-4.
Damian Rosas and
Jonah Bergeron completed the sweep with a 7-5 victory in the #3 spot.
Bucek played the #1 singles spot where he won in two game, 6-3, 6-4. Cech, back in the lineup, played at #2 singles where he won in two straight 6-1, 6-3.
Rodrigo Sanchez fell in #3 singles 6-4, 7-5. Kollar played the #4 spot and fell in three games 5-7, 6-3, 10-6. Quercia picked up the three game victory 7-5, 3-6, 13-11. Rosas won in the final singles slot 7-5, 6-2.
The Threshers will take on Sterling College on Thursday March 16th to open up KCAC play in Sterling, Kan. at 2 PM.
