BROOKINGS, S.D. - The Bethel College Indoor Track and Field Teams each had two participants in the NAIA Indoor National Championships.
Trey Palmer qualified in both the 60m dash as well as the long jump. Palmer finished 14th in the 60m dash with a time of 6.82, missing qualifying for the finals by .04. Later on in the meet, Palmer went on to take a fourth place finish in the long jump making him an All-American. He turned in a distance of 7.33m, a new school record and best indoor and outdoor mark in school history. Trey has now been named an All-American sprinter, horizontal jumper and football player during his career at Bethel.
Isaiah Bartel turned in a solid performance as well setting a new school record in the 800m with a time of 1:55.80 narrowly missing qualification for the final and finishing 12th.
Karsen Dunham and
Myiah Logue both qualified for the triple jump on the women's side. Dunham finished 23rd with a best mark of 11.26m. Logue finished 32nd with a best mark of 10.65m.
Both squads will be back in action to open the outdoor season on March 18th as they travel to Pratt Community College.
