NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - In a match that was pushed back one day due to forcasted weather, the Bethel College men's tennis team dropped a home match to Ottawa on Sunday.
The Threshers won the doubles point behind wins at both #1 and #2 doubles.
Michael Cech and
Petr Kollar won their match at #1 doubles 6-3.
Milan Bucek and
Tomas Quercia won at #2 doubles 7-6.
Jonah Bergeron and
Damian Rosas fell at #3 doubles 6-1.
Bucek kept up his hot streak in singles as he beat the #8 player in the south central region in Tartaglia 6-2, 7-5. Cech dropped his match at #2 singles 6-4, 6-3.
Rodrigo Sanchez fell in the #3 singles slot in three sets 2-6, 7-6, 6-2. Kollar dropped his match with a pair of 6-2 losses. Quercia fell at #5 singles with a pair 6-4 losses. Rosas won at #6 singles picking up a 7-6, 6-3 victory.
The Threshers are back in action on April 17th as they take on Sterling in a match rescheduled from earlier in the season.
