No. 4 seeded Threshers defeat No. 5 seeded Bluejays 4-0 to advance in KCAC Men's Tennis Tournament

WICHITA, Kan. - The Bethel Threshers entered the KCAC Tournament as the No. 4 seed and were set to square off with the No. 5 seeded Bluejays of Tabor College. The Threshers took the match 4-0 to advance to the KCAC Semifinals.

The Threshers started the match strong winning at both #1 and #2 doubles to gain the doubles point. Michael Cech and Petr Kollar won 6-2 at #1. Milan Bucek and Tomas Quercia won 7-5 at #2. Damian Rosas and Jonah Bergeron fell at #3 doubles 6-4. 

Bethel won all three singles matches that finished first and was ahead in two of the three that were unfinished. Bucek won 7-5, 6-2 at #1 giving Bethel a 2-0 advantage. Cech dropped just two games at #2 as he won 6-2, 6-0. Quercia won at #5 6-3, 6-1 to clinch the match for the Threshers advancing them to the KCAC Semifinals. Rodrigo Sanchez was ahead 6-3, 2-1 when teh match was won. Kollar dropped the first set 6-1 and was tied 5-5 in the second when Bethel clinched. Rosas won his first set 6-2 and was ahead 5-4 in the second set when the match was clinched.

The Threshers will now move on to take on the No. 1 seed McPherson Bulldogs on Friday April 28th at 9 am in Topeka, Kan. at Kossover Tennis Complex.
