HASTINGS, Neb. - The Bethel College Volleyball team finished with a split over the four-game classic. The Threshers picked up two wins on day one, before dropping both contests on day two to nationally ranked opponents.

The Threshers picked up their first victory on the weekend with a straight-set victory over Culver-Stockton. Bethel took advantage of the Wildcats' 22 errors in the contest. BC finished with 33 kills in the contest led by
Jordan Boone with 8.Â

In game two of the tournament, the Threshers took on the Dickinson State Bluehawks. Dickinson State opened up the match by taking the first set before Bethel rattled off three straight-set victories. Bethel tallied 51 kills in the four-set match led by
Kylah Carter with 11.
Darla Crow added seven blocks in the victory.

Bethel took their first loss of the classic when they took on the host school, No. 24 ranked Hastings College.
Cam Offerle led the Thresher attack with 10 kills in the loss. After dropping the first two sets, Bethel won the third to force a fourth set. The Broncos took the match 3-1.

Game four of the classic was just like the third, the Threshers dropped the first two matches before picking up a set three victory and dropping set four. Carter turned in 11 kills in the match while Crow tallied a double-digit block game with 10. Bethel ultimately came up short falling to No. 18 ranked College of Saint Mary(Neb.).

The Threshers will be back in action on Wednesday, August 30th for a triangular with Central Christian and Langston in McPherson, Kan. Game one of the tri is set to start at 5:00 PM.
