NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College women's soccer team hosted the William Woods Owls for a Friday morning matinee.
The Threshers fell behind early giving up two goals in the first 15 minutes of play.Â
After taking a 2-0 advantage into the intermission, the Owls came out in the second half looking pressing. They added a goal in the 57th minute and another in the 62nd minute to take a 4-0 lead.
Sydney Brown got the Threshers on the board with a free kick 15 yards outside the box. Brown was able to bend the ball around the wall and beat the keeper to the near post.
The Threshers were out-shot 13(9) to 12(6) by the Owls.Â
Bethel will be back in action on Tuesday, September 5th as they travel to take on Oklahoma Panhandle in Goodwell, Okla. with kickoff scheduled for 5:00 PM.
