GOODWELL, Okla. - The Bethel College women's soccer team earned their first clean sheet of the season with a 3-0 victory over Oklahoma Panhandle State thanks to two first half goals.
Ashley SaJous got the scoring started with her fourth goal of the season as she found the back of the net in the 31st minute.
Less than two minutes later,
Sydney Brown doubled the Threshers lead when she executed on a penalty kick opportunity.
After Bethel took a 2-0 lead into the intermission,
Olivia Allen scored her first goal of the season to give the Threshers the 3-0 advantage with just over 15 minutes left in the contest.Â
Bethel took 17(10) shots compared to Oklahoma Panhandle State's 10(8).
Mariah Vallejo, the Threshers keeper, recorded 7 saves in the victory.Â
BC will be back in action on Sunday, September 10th as they travel north to Yankton, South Dakota to take on Mount Marty at 1:30 PM.Â
