BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - The Bethel College men's soccer team opened up KCAC play by taking on the No. 12 ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles. The Threshers gave up two early goals before getting one of their own before OKWU added five more to take the victory.
Oklahoma Wesleyan scored in just the 2nd minute of the contest. The Eagles added another goal to their lead in the 29th minute.
Bethel cut the lead in half in the 33rd minute when
Filip Maksimovic found the back of the net assisted by
Kevin Applewhite.
The rest of the match was all Eagles as they added two more goals before the intermission and three in the second half.
The Threshers were outshot 20(13) to 8(6).Â
Bethel will be back in action on Wednesday, September 20th as they continue their road trip to open the season against the Swedes of Bethany at 7:30 PM.
