Cross Country competes at Southern Stampede

JOPLIN, Mo. - Both Bethel College cross country teams took part in the Southern Stampede hosted by Missouri Southern State University.

Luke Schmidt was the Threshers' highest finisher on the men's side turning in a 26th place finish with a time of 29:12.32 in the 8K.

Tobin Wise finished in 38th with a time of 29:44.20.

Marcus Fiedler was not far behind Wise, finishing in 45th with a time of 30:03.17.

Bethel's next best finisher was Matthew Fleck who finished 57th with a time of 30:34.66.

Isaiah Bartel finished 64th with a time of 31:00.03.

Daniel Kaufman finished in 97th place with a time of 33:08.24.

Robbie Crager finished 109th with a time of 34:37.94.

The Threshers' final finisher was Nick Morgan, who finished with a time of 38:55.77 putting him in 129th.

Bethany Schrag was the Threshers' top finisher on the women's side as she recorded a 31st place finish with a time of 21:29.94 in the 5K.

Taryn Paulino finished in 40th place with a time of 22:00.70.

Just behind Paulino was Emma Graber in 44th with a time of 22:12.53.

Both Thresher squads will be back in action on Saturday, September 23rd as they host the Muthama-Rogers Invite beginning at 10 AM.
