Locke and McKinzie score 25 points apiece as Threshers down the Eagles 94-76

NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College women's basketball recorded their second highest point total of the season in a 94-76 victory over the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles.
 
The Threshers held on to a six-point lead, 24-18, after the first quarter of play thanks to a perfect 9-9 from the charity stripe.
 
Bethel's defense shined in the second quarter as they held Oklahoma Wesleyan to just nine points on 4 of 17 shooting (23.5%) while scoring 22 points on 9 of 17 shooting (52.9%).
 
Holding on to a 19-point lead after the opening two frames, the Threshers outscored the Eagles for the third straight quarter as they knocked down four of their six three-point attempts led by Carley Robb who was 2-3 from downtown in the frame.
 
The difference in the fourth quarter came at the charity stripe as the Eagles knocked down 10 of their 13 attempts. The final frame ended up being the only one OKWU outscored BC despite Bethel shooting over 61% from the floor.
