NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College women's basketball team dropped the first ever matchup between the Threshers and the Evangel Valor 66-51.

The Threshers started the contest slow shooting just 12% from the floor in the opening 10 minutes of play.

Bethel bounced back in the second quarter shooting 50% from the floor and from three point range as they made up their five point deficit following the first quarter to force a 28-28 tie at the break.

As it has for a majority of their losses this season, the third quarter ended up being the ultimate downfall for the Threshers as they were outscored by 11 points in the frame.

Bethel shot the ball better in the final frame, but were once again outscored as Evangel pulled away for the 15 point victory.
