NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College men's basketball team had their upset bid of No. 8 Oklahoma Wesleyan come up just short as they dropped the contest 78-66.

After falling behind 8-3 early in the contest, the Threshers went on a 10-0 run sparked by back-to-back threes from
Nick Bonner and
Harper Jonas.

Bethel was able to push their lead up to six points before the Eagles tied the contest at 16. Both teams then traded the lead back and forth until OKWU went on a 10-0 run to take a 9 point lead.

The Threshers trailed by nine points at halftime and were able to cut the Eagles lead down to just three points multiple times early in the second half, but weren't quite able to get over the hump as OKWU held on to take the victory.
