NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College women's basketball team controlled the contest from the tip as they beat the York Panthers 89-67.

Bethel scored the first eight points of the contest as they provided strangling defensive pressure on York. The Threshers forced the Panthers into six turnovers in the first 10 minutes of play.

Natalie Richards followed up a 12 point first quarter with a game high 7 points in the second as she led all scorers with 19 points at the intermission.

After not finding the bottom of the net in the first half,
Carley Robb caught fire as she turned in a game high 25 points, all coming in the second half. Robb shot 9 of 13 in the final two quarters including 6 of 10 from deep.

Bethel led by as much as 26 points in the second half as they cruised to the 89-67 victory.
