NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College women's basketball team found themselves on the wrong side of the scoreboard in a matchup of 4-9 teams as they lost to the Avila Eagles 80-63.

The Threshers were outscored by ten points in the opening quarter as they were held scoreless for the final minute forty.

Both teams scored 20 points in the second quarter as the contest entered half time with Bethel trailing 41-31.
Natalie Richards and
Kendall Locke carried most of the weight for BC in the second as Richards scored 8 points on a perfect 3 of 3 shooting while Locke finished the frame with 5 points.

Much like the first half, Bethel struggled offensively to start the second half as they scored just 12 points in the quarter while the Eagles put up 22, taking a 63-43 advantage into the final frame.
