LINDSBORG, Kan. - The Bethel College women's basketball team fell behind early against Bethany and never recovered as they fell 89-50 on the road.

The Threshers struggled mightily in first quarter shooting just 12% from the floor while allowing the Swedes to score 23 points on 50% shooting.

Bethel started the second quarter on a 9-2 run cutting the Bethany lead down to eleven points with just under four minutes left in the half. The Swedes answered with a 13-4 run to close out the half, taking 19-point advantage into the intermission.

The Threshers found their best offensive quarter of the contest as they scored 20 points on over 475 shooting. Unfortunately for Bethel, the Swedes turned in their highest point total quarter in the third as well outscoring them by eight points.

Bethany started the fourth quarter on a 10-0 run as they pushed their lead to 39 points early in the final frame before taking the victory.
