The Bethel College women's soccer team dropped a close 2-1 decision to Tabor College, despite taking an early lead. The Threshers battled throughout the match but were unable to capitalize on late opportunities to secure an equalizer.
First Half:
Bethel struck first, with Madison Bliss scoring in the 30th minute off an unassisted effort to give the Threshers a 1-0 lead. Goalkeeper Victoria Esquivel made several crucial saves to maintain the advantage, but Tabor found the equalizer in the 44th minute, tying the match 1-1 just before halftime.
Second Half: Tabor's Go-Ahead Goal
Tabor took the lead early in the second half, scoring in the 53rd minute. Bethel worked hard to find an equalizer, with Malayasia Larque and Leonie Kuhrt both creating scoring chances. Despite their efforts, Tabor's defense held firm, and the Threshers were unable to find the back of the net again, ending the match in a 2-1 loss.
With the defeat, Bethel falls to 4-8-2 on the season and 2-6-1 in KCAC play?. They will look to bounce back on their trip to Ottawa this Saturday.
