Bethel College women's soccer team earned a crucial 2-1 win over Ottawa University, powered by two goal performance from Malayasia Larque. The victory lifts Bethel to 6-7-2 on the season and 4-5-1 in KCAC play.
First Half: Defensive Battle
The first half was a defensive stalemate, with both teams creating few chances. Bethel goalkeeper Jacie Scott made several important saves to keep the score level. Bethel managed three shots in the half but couldn't break the deadlock, while Ottawa peppered the Bethel defense with 13 shots.
Second Half: Larque Shines
The second half belonged to Larque, who opened the scoring in the 54th minute with an unassisted goal. Just four minutes later, Larque found the net again, this time assisted by Beth Lloyd, to double Bethel's lead. Ottawa pulled one back in the 84th minute, but Scott's 12 saves helped Bethel hold on for the win
