Lucas Pardo was the star of the match for Bethel, scoring both goals. He netted his first in the 22nd minute, slotting the ball past the Southwestern goalkeeper to give Bethel a 1-0 lead. Pardo continued to apply pressure in the second half and was rewarded with his second goal in the 66th minute, securing the win for the Threshers.
Bethel's defense was stellar throughout the match, limiting Southwestern to just six shots, with only two on target, both saved by goalkeeper Kazimir Kromwijk, who earned the clean sheet. Southwestern struggled to generate meaningful chances as Bethel controlled possession for large stretches of the game.
