In a challenging game at Adair-Austin Stadium, Bethel was unable to overcome Friends University, ending with a score of 28-0.
First Half
Friends jumped ahead early, scoring two touchdowns in the first quarter. They opened with a 7-play, 28-yard drive, capped by a 1-yard run. Bethel's defense held firm through most of the second quarter, preventing additional scoring as both teams battled for field position. Despite a strong effort, Bethel's offense couldn't find momentum against Friends' stout defense, leading to a 14-0 halftime deficit.
Second Half
Friends extended their lead with a 65-yard run touchdown early in the third quarter, and Bethel's offensive efforts continued to be stifled. In the fourth quarter, Friends sealed the win with another touchdown, making it 28-0. Despite Bethel's resilient defense, Friends capitalized on big plays that kept Bethel scoreless.
