Bethel College Football delivered a commanding performance at home, defeating Bethany College 50-14. In a game filled with explosive plays and solid defense.
First Quarter: Bethel Sets the Tone
Bethel wasted no time, scoring their first touchdown on a 5-yard pass from DJ Ciers to James Menard. With a successful extra point, Bethel took an early 7-0 lead. Shortly after, Torrie Curry extended the advantage with an 11-yard rushing touchdown, followed by a two-point conversion by Chevy Fackrell. Bethel closed the first quarter with a 15-0 lead, dominating both sides of the ball.
Second Quarter: Bethel Continues to Roll
Bethel's momentum carried into the second quarter with a 62-yard touchdown pass from DJ Ciers to Kenyon McMillan. On defense, Bethel's Josh Ciers added to the scoreboard, intercepting a pass and returning it 65 yards for a touchdown, boosting Bethel's lead to 29-0 at halftime.
Third Quarter: Bethel Extends Lead
The third quarter saw Bethel continue their offensive push, with Ciers connecting on a 6-yard touchdown pass to Larry Cherry. Shortly after, Ben Schmidt threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to Josiah Buller, putting Bethel up 43-0. Bethany responded with a 30-yard touchdown run, but Bethel's lead remained comfortable.
Fourth Quarter: Bethel Secures Victory
In the final quarter, Torrie Curry sealed the game with a 15-yard rushing touchdown. Bethany managed a late touchdown, but Bethel's dominance was never in doubt as they wrapped up the game with a convincing 50-14 victory.
Bethel will celebrate Senior Day in their next game on November 16th, facing Evangel at home.
