Leavenworth, Kan. - November 9th
The Bethel College Women's Cross Country team competed at the KCAC Championships, delivering a solid team performance that earned them a 6th-place finish among competitive conference programs. Highlighting the meet was Bethany Schrag's impressive run, which secured her a spot at the NAIA National Cross Country Championships.
Schrag led the Threshers, finishing 21st overall with a time of 24:31.79, demonstrating her strong form and endurance. Her performance was a standout, marking her as Bethel's top runner and earning her an individual qualification for nationals.
The other Bethel runners also showed determination on the course:
- Emma Graber finished 45th with a time of 26:26.27.
- Cleo Naranjo followed closely, placing 48th with a time of 26:41.51.
- Taryn Paulino crossed the line in 53rd, clocking 26:53.17.
- Sydney Hart finished 87th with a time of 31:58.38.
- Kaylee Carty rounded out the team in 107th, posting a time of 38:37.00.
With the season drawing to a close, Schrag will now prepare to represent Bethel on the national stage at the NAIA National Cross Country Championships.
