NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College women's basketball team snapped their losing skid with an 81-54 victory over Southwestern College.

Despite their early struggles in the contest, the Threshers held onto a twenty-point lead at the intermission.

After holding a five-point lead going into the second quarter, Bethel doubled up Southwestern scoring 30 points to their 15. BC shot over 52% from the floor and 66% from three-point range in the second quarter as they held the 50-30 lead at the break.

The Threshers turned in their second 50% shooting quarter coming out of the break as they pushed their lead up to 26 points entering the final frame.

Both teams struggled offensively in the fourth quarter as the Threshers held the Moundbuilders to just over 13% shooting from the floor, but only shot 21% themselves.
