Indoor Track and Field resets five school records and earns ten All-KCAC honors at KCAC Indoor Championships

OMAHA, Neb. - The Bethel College indoor track and field teams earned ten All-KCAC honors while resetting five school records at the KCAC Indoor Championships.
 
Mia Roman finished 3rd in the 600m with a time of 1:40.42 to earn All-KCAC honors, resetting a 29-year-old school record by just under five-tenths of a second. Taryn Paulino finished 5th to earn All-KCAC Honorable Mention with a time of 1:43.24
 
Roman broke her second school record of the meet as she finished 7th in the 800m with a time of 2:26.12 earning All-KCAC Honorable Mention. Paulino finished 12th at 2:30.51
 
Bethany Schrag finished 11th in the 3000m, resetting her school record for the third time this season by shaving nearly 20 seconds off as she ran 11:12.67.
 
Schrag finished 13th in the 5000m breaking her school record with a 19:39.71, shaving nearly 11 seconds off her record time.
 
The 4x800m relay team of Paulino, Roman, Parker Schroeder and Schrag finished 5th with a school record time of 10:03.72, nearly 18 seconds faster than the previous school record time.
 
Caeleb Roper finished 25th in the 60m dash with a time of 7.47. Garrett Slater finished 27th with a time of 7.56. Austen Walker finished 33rd with a time of 7.77.
 
Fabian Talavera finished 5th in the 200m earning All-KCAC Honorable Mention with a time of 22.96. Simon Hodge finished 29th running a time of 24.50
 
Talavera finished just outside of earning KCAC honors in 9th in the 400m with a time of 52.26.
 
Schroeder finished 19th in the 400m with a time of 1:07.01.
 
Hodge finished 8th to earn All-KCAC Honorable Mention in the 600m with a time of 1:26.42. Braden Esau finished 16th with a time of 1:28.24, while Seth Balzer finished 21st running a time of 1:34.63.
 
Isaiah Bartel finished 7th in the 800m to earn All-KCAC Honorable Mention with a time of 1:59.40. Luke Schmidt finished 12th running a time of  2:04.50, while Tobin Wise finished 13th with a time of 2:04.88.
 
Schmidt finished 11th in the mile with a time of 4:42.27. Robert Crager finished 21st with a time of 4:56.67, while Matthew Fleck and Marcus Fiedler finished back-to-back in 24th and 25th running times of 5:01.73 and 5:02.61.
 
Schrag finished 7th in the mile to earn All-KCAC Honorable Mention with a time of 5:33.94.
 
Fiedler finished 20th in the 5000m with a time of 17:11.68. Fleck finished 22nd with a time of 17:27.43, while Crager finished 23rd running a time of 17:27.73.
 
The 4x400m relay squad of Hodge, Talavera, Wise and Bartel finished 5th with a time of 3:32.17.
 
The 4x400m relay team of Paulino, Roman, Schroeder and Myiah Logue finished 6th with a time of 4:19.82.
 
The 4x800m relay team of Wise, Esau, Bartel and Schmidt finished 3rd to earn All-KCAC honors with a time of 8:01.48, just over a second off of the school record time of 8:00.02.
 
The 4000m distance medley relay team of Esau, Balzer, Fleck and Crager finished 6th with a time of 11:44.27
 
Roper finished 18th in the long jump with a mark of 6.12m
 
Elisabeth Rowe finished 4th in the long jump with a mark of 5.15m while Logue finished 7th with a mark of 5.10m as both earned All-KCAC Honorable Mention.
 
Hayden Wallace finished 14th in the shot put with a mark of 12.26m, while Daniel Kaufman finished 27th with a mark of 9.11m. Wallace also finished 18th in the weight throw with a mark of 11.72m.
 
This concludes the indoor season for the Threshers as they will be back in action on March 23rd as they host the Bethel Invite to begin the outdoor season.
