Cold shooting to finish out the halves doom Women's Basketball in loss to York

YORK, Neb. - The Bethel College women's basketball team dropped a close road contest to the York Panthers 83-78.
 
The Threshers started the contest about as good as interim head coach Rocky Lamar could've asked for as they shot nearly 69% from the floor in the first ten minutes of play.
 
Holding on to a 14-point lead going into the second frame, the Threshers went cold from the floor while the Panthers caught fire to cut the lead down to just six at the intermission.
 
Bethel came out firing again in the third quarter as they finished shooting over 50% for the ten minutes, unfortunately for them York shot nearly 85% from the floor including a perfect five of five from three-point range as they outscored the Threshers 33-21.
 
The Threshers won the fourth quarter, but still fell short of the Panthers in the five point loss despite cutting it down to a basket with 90 seconds left in the competition.

A seemingly continuing trend, the Threshers were out shot at the charity stripe as they attempted just 18 shots, making 13 of them. The Panthers took 32 attempts making 24.
