Quartet of double-digit scorers lead Men's Basketball to a 76-43 victory over Avila

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Bethel College men's basketball team earned a 76-43 victory over the Avila Eagles to guarantee themselves a spot in the KCAC Tournament.
 
The Threshers came out of the gates firing as they jumped out to a quick 10-2 lead thanks to back-to-back threes from Harper Jonas and a pair of layups from Keyaun Hoskin.
 
Bethel didn't slow down and Avila didn't find a much needed spark following the timeout as BC pushed their lead up to 21 points over the next seven minutes of the contest.
 
After leading by as much as 29 points in the first half, the Threshers held on a 26 point lead at the intermission as they closed out the half on a 10-3 run.
 
Bethel was able to hold the Eagles to just 16 first half points on 27% shooting from the floor.
 
The Threshers picked up in the second half right where they left off before the break as they didn't allow the lead to drop below 24 points.
 
Bethel was led in the second half by Eli Wiseman who scored 9 of his game high 15 points in the final 20 minutes as BC had 12 players score in the half.
