LEAVENWORTH, Kan. - The Bethel College men's basketball team dropped their contest with the Saint Mary Spires after being outscored by ten points in the second half.

The Threshers took the early lead following a
Nick Bonner three and held onto it until the seven-and-a-half-minute mark in the first half when the Spires knocked down a three to take the lead back.

Both teams traded the lead back and forth until the 30 second mark in the first half when Bonner knocked down another trey giving Bethel the three-point advantage going into the break.

 With 16:33 left in the second half and the Threshers leading by a point, the Spires took the lead back and quickly built it up to double digits with a 14-1 run.

Bethel allowed Saint Mary to build the lead up to 20 points just south of the eight-minute mark before slowly starting to chip away.

The Threshers went on a 22-6 over the next seven minutes and change, sparked by six points from Bonner and 5 from
Miguel Vojtova.

After Bethel cut the Spire lead down to just four with 37 second remaining, USM knocked down their free throws and BC was unable to find the bottom of the net as Saint Mary took the contest 67-60.
