NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College men's tennis team moved to 2-0 in KCAC play as they defeated the Evangel Valor 6-1.
Bethel earned the doubles point with a complete sweep of Evangel .
Milan Bucek and
Michael Cech earned the 6-4 victory at #1 doubles,
Petr Kollar and
Tomas Quercia won 6-4 at #2 doubles and
Rodrigo Sanchez and
Jonah Bergeron won #3 doubles 6-2.Â
Bucek in the #1 position in singles won 6-3, 6-2. Cech won by scores of 6-3, 6-1 at #2. Quercia played the only three set match of the contest as he won 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(7-1). Kollar won at #4 singles 6-1, 6-2. Sanchez won in the #5 position 6-0, 6-3. Bergeron dropped the only singles contest of the day as he fell 6-1, 7-6(7-3).
The Threshers will be back in action on Thursday, March 28th at 3:00 PM as they take on the Friends Falcons in Wichita.
