EMPORIA, Kan. - Both Bethel College track and field teams competed on Thursday at the Emporia State Relays. The Threshers turned in a pair of top-ten finishes, both coming in field events.
Fabian Talavera finished 76th in the 100m with a time of 11.70. He also finished 36th in the 200m with a time of 22.55.
Quian Henderson, also running in the 200m, finished 74th with a time of 23.73.
Myiah Logue ran the 200m in a time of 29.58 to finish 52nd.
In the 800m,
Braden Esau finished 19th with a time of 2:00.74.
Marcus Fiedler finished 42nd with a time of 2:06.01, while
Luke Schmidt finished 60th with a time of 2:12.24.
Mia Roman finished 15th in the 800m with a time of 2:21.63.
Fiedler ran the 1500m in a time of 4:17.60 to finish 45th. Schmidt was four positions behind in 49th with a time of 4:19.35 and
Matthew Fleck finished 80th with a time of 4:47.17.
Henderson finished 9th in the high jump with a mark of 1.89m.
Daniel Kaufman finished 27th in the javelin with a distance of 39.76m.
Logue finished 9th in the long jump with a mark of 5.23m.
The Threshers will be back in action on April 4, 5 and 6 for the Friends Spring Open.
