Track and Field records six top-ten finishes at Friends Spring Open

WICHITA, Kan. - The Bethel College track and field teams continued their outdoor season with a three-day meet hosted by Friends University.
 
Garrett Slater finished 50th in the 100m with a time of 11.43.
 
Fabian Talavera finished 21st in the 200m with a time of 22.39 and Simon Hodge finished 51st with a time of 23.21.
 
Isaiah Bartel finished 27th in the 400m with a time of 53.22.
 
Bethany Schrag finished 24th in the 800m with a time of 2:43.68 while Emma Graber finished 28th with a time of 2:46.58.
 
Luke Schmidt finished 22nd in the 800m with a time of 2:04.80. Tobin Wise finished 26th with a time of 2:05.77. Marcus Fiedler finished 36th with a time of 2:13.03 as Seth Balzer finished 42nd with a time of 2:18.92 and Robbie Crager finished 44th with a time of 2:25.46.
 
Taryn Paulino finished 32nd in the 1500m with a time of 5:33.80 as Graber finished 39th with a time of 5:52.64.
 
Braden Esau finished 24th in 1500m with a time of 4:28.72 as Balzer finished 51st with a time of 5:11.97.
 
Schrag finished 5th in the 3000m steeple with a time of 12:44.37.
 
Schmidt finished 8th in the 3000m steeple with a time of 10:20.81 as Crager finished 16th with a time of 11:56.19.
 
Esau finished 30th in the 5000m with a time of 17:01.06.
 
Fiedler finished 3rd in the 10000m with a time of 35:43.87 while Wise finished 5th with a time of 35:59.48.
 
Myiah Logue turned in a pair of top-10 finishes in the horizontal jumps as she finished 4th in the triple jump with a mark of 11.42m and 9th in the long jump with a mark of 5.41m. Elisabeth Rowe finished 25th in the long jump with a mark of 4.76m.
 
Hayden Wallace finished 20th in the hammer throw with a mark of 37.28m and 25th in the discus with a mark of 34.08m
 
Carley Bartel finished 17th in the discus with a mark of 34.43m and 44th in the shot put with a mark of 7.49m
 
The Threshers will be back in action on Saturday, April 13th as they travel to Wichita State for the KT Woodman Invite.
