McPherson, Kan. — The Bethel College men's soccer team dropped a hard-fought match to Central Christian College on August 31, 2024, falling 1-0.
The lone goal of the match came early in the first half when Central Christian's Marco Cherchi found the back of the net at the 26th minute, assisted by Drew Schrader.
Bethel's goalkeeper, Kazimir Kromwijk, had an impressive showing with six saves, keeping the Threshers within striking distance throughout the match. However, despite their 16 shots—matching Central Christian's shot count—Bethel couldn't find the breakthrough they needed.
Bethel will look to get their first win of the season this Wednesday on the road against Missouri Valley at 7 PM.
