North Newton, Kan - In a tough matchup on Saturday, the Bethel Threshers were defeated 5-0 by the #14 ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles at home.
OKWU started the scoring with 4 goals in the first half, and despite some efforts from Bethel, including shots from
Aden Braggs and
Juan Volker, they were unable to find the back of the net. Oklahoma Wesleyan's defense held strong.
Bethel's goalkeeper,
Kazimir Kromwijk, worked hard in goal, making seven saves despite the high volume of attacks from the Eagles, who fired 15 shots with 12 on target.
Bethel will look to bounce back from this tough loss as they face Bethany College at home on Wednesday. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM.
