North Newton, Kan. — Bethel men's soccer earned a 2–2 draw in a spirited KCAC matchup Wednesday night at Thresher Stadium, powered by goals from Gabriel Okita and Aden Braggs.
The Threshers struck first in the 21st minute when Braggs found Okita for the first goal of the match. McPherson equalized in the 32nd minute, but the Threshers regained control early in the second half when the roles reversed — Okita set up Braggs for a composed finish in the 52nd minute to make it 2–1.
McPherson leveled the score once more in the 67th minute, and despite several late chances for both sides, neither team could break through.
Goalkeeper Kazimir Kromwijk was the difference-maker defensively, posting nine saves, including two highlight-reel moments in the second half — one where he dropped into an almost split to deflect a point-blank shot.
Bethel moves to 3–9–2 overall and 2–5–2 in KCAC play. The Threshers return to Thresher Stadium Saturday at 1:30 p.m. to host Friends University.
