McPherson, Kan. — In a matchup that carried major KCAC title implications, Bethel volleyball came up short on the road Wednesday night, falling 3–1 (14–25, 18–25, 25–20, 19–25) to conference leader and 6th ranked nationally, McPherson College.
Cameron Offerle led the Threshers with 14 kills and nine digs, while Darla Crow hit .500 with nine kills and six total blocks. Dalaina Schutte dished out 33 assists and added 14 digs, and Abby Koontz finished with 17 digs and two service aces.
Bethel found its rhythm in the third set, hitting efficiently and using a strong block from Crow and Alayna Vines to take the frame 25–20. However, McPherson's offense responded in the fourth to close out the match.
With the loss, Bethel falls to 15–9 overall and 5–2 in KCAC play, currently sitting fifth in the conference standings. The Threshers will look to bounce back Saturday on the road at Friends University at 5:00 p.m.
