North Newton, Kan. — Bethel men's soccer battled hard but came up short in a 1–0 loss to Southwestern on Saturday evening at Thresher Stadium. The Moundbuilders netted the game's lone goal in the 42nd minute when Connor Inlow found the back of the net.
The Threshers generated consistent pressure in the second half, outshooting Southwestern 12–5 after halftime and 16–12 overall. Freshman keeper Kazimir Kromwijk made five saves to keep the game within reach.
Despite Bethel's push in the final minutes — including shots from Diego Martinez, Brandon Chung, and Kian Medeiros — the equalizer never came. Bethel drops to 2–9 overall and 1–5 in KCAC play. The Threshers travel next to Bethany College in Lindsborg on Wednesday, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m.
