Lindsborg, Kan. — Bethel men's soccer earned a hard-fought 1–1 draw on the road Wednesday night against Bethany College in KCAC action. The Threshers moved to 2–9–1 overall and 1–5–1 in conference play with the result.
Bethel came out of the gates sharp, creating early pressure and earning multiple corners before breaking through in the 19th minute. Kian Medeiros buried a shot into the back of the net, giving the Threshers a 1–0 advantage.
Bethany leveled the match in the 40th minute, when Baptista Amofa capitalized and tied it 1-1.
The second half featured strong defense and key saves on both sides. Bethel goalkeeper Kazimir Kromwijk was outstanding between the posts, finishing with six saves, including a sequence of three stops in the final 10 minutes to preserve the draw.
Offensively, the Threshers continued to create chances, firing 16 total shots with nine on goal. Branden Balvanz, Aden Braggs, and Calvin Bell each registered multiple shot attempts, while Bethel held a decisive 11–1 advantage in corner kicks over the Swedes.
Bethel looks to build momentum as they travel to Kansas City on Saturday to take on Avila University. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
