NIXA, Mo. — The Bethel College football team hit the road for its final away game of the 2025 season, falling 51–0 to Evangel on Saturday afternoon at Eagle Stadium.
Evangel's offense struck early and often, scoring on its opening drive and building a 24–0 lead by halftime. Despite the scoreline, Bethel's defense showed effort throughout, led by Kevin Hill and Caleb Jefferson, who each finished with eight total tackles. Frank Driscoll and Amerdid Marial both added tackles for loss, while Isaac Forbes recorded a pass breakup and a fumble recovery.
Quarterback Houston Herrin threw for 76 yards, connecting with Trevon Madison and Xzavion Martin on multiple completions, while Larry Cherry handled punting duties with nine punts for 322 yards, including a long of 63.
The Threshers were limited to 110 total yards of offense, but continued to compete through the final whistle against an Evangel squad that improved to 8–2 overall.
With the loss, Bethel moves to 3–7 overall (1–3 division) and will close out the regular season next Saturday when they travel to Ottawa University for a 1:00 PM kickoff.
