Women’s Basketball Pulls Away from Oklahoma Wesleyan on the Road

Bartlesville, Okla. — Bethel women's basketball delivered a complete performance on Saturday afternoon, pulling away in the second half for a 73–53 road win over Oklahoma Wesleyan.

The Threshers set the tone early with physical defense and efficient offense inside, holding OKWU to just 36.8 percent shooting for the game. Bethel controlled the paint from the opening quarter and steadily built separation, taking a 34–30 lead into halftime.

Bethel asserted itself coming out of the break. The Threshers opened the third quarter with strong interior play and defensive pressure, stretching the lead to double figures. Kendall Locke led the charge, finishing with 18 points, eight rebounds, and six assists, while Madyson McKinzie added 19 points on efficient shooting.

Bethel's control of the game became clear in the fourth quarter, where the Threshers outscored OKWU 23–9, pushing the margin as high as 22 points late. Karlee Locke provided steady contributions throughout with 11 points, while Emersyn Eischen added seven points and strong defensive minutes. Bethel finished the game with 46 points in the paint and forced 13 Oklahoma Wesleyan turnovers, turning them into 21 points.

The Threshers shot an impressive 55.8 percent from the field, out-rebounded OKWU 29–22, and moved the ball effectively with 16 assists in the win.

Bethel will finish the first semester on the road at Missouri Valley on Tuesday. Tip is 3:00PM.
