Volleyball Competes at Park Invitational

Bethel earns one win in Parkville, Mo. — Aug 22–23, 2025

Game 1 — Aug 22, 4:15 PM — vs Wayland Baptist

Result: Win 3–1 (25–16, 25–16, 13–25, 25–23)

Bethel opened the Invitational with a four-set victory over Wayland Baptist. The Threshers jumped ahead with convincing wins in the first two sets, and after dropping the third, held strong to close the match 25–23 in the fourth. Cameron Offerle paced the attack with 23 kills on a .314 hitting percentage, while freshman setter Dalaina Schutte added 34 assists. The back row was steady as multiple defenders reached double-digit digs to secure Bethel's fourth win of the season.

Game 2 — Aug 23, 10:00 AM — vs Oklahoma City

Result: Loss 2–3 (20–25, 25–19, 25–16, 20–25, 12–15)

In their morning matchup, the Threshers went the distance against Oklahoma City but came up short in five sets. After falling behind early, Bethel responded with wins in the second and third sets to take control. The Stars rallied back to even the match in the fourth before edging out the fifth set. Offerle once again led the attack with 24 kills, supported by Langley Barger's 15 and Alayna Vines' nine. Schutte directed the offense with 43 assists, while libero Abby Koontz collected a match-high 30 digs.

Game 3 — Aug 23, 12:50 PM — vs Park

Result: Loss 1–3 (22–25, 25–23, 25–27, 17–25)

Bethel closed the weekend with a tough four-set loss to host Park. The Threshers battled point for point in the opening sets, winning the second 25–23 and narrowly falling 27–25 in the third. The Pirates pulled away late in the fourth to secure the match. Offerle turned in a massive effort with 26 kills and 21 digs, while Schutte added 48 assists. Vines contributed eight kills on a .300 clip, and Barger chipped in ten as Bethel finished the weekend 1–2.
