Bethel women's soccer pushed Kansas Wesleyan to the wire on Wednesday evening at Thresher Stadium, but a first-half deficit proved too much to overcome in a 2–1 loss. After conceding twice in the opening 44 minutes, the Threshers regrouped and found their breakthrough after halftime.

Malayasia Larque netted Bethel's lone goal in the 54th minute, finishing off a setup from Madison Davis for her team-leading score. Larque was a constant threat, firing a team-high four shots with three on target. Regina Mendoza and Beth Lloyd each added two attempts as the Threshers totaled nine shots overall, four of them on goal.

In net, Jacie Scott turned away six saves, including three in the second half to keep Bethel within striking distance. The Threshers also earned a pair of corner kicks and forced KWU's keeper into multiple second-half stops, but the equalizer never came.

The result drops Bethel to 0–1 in KCAC play, but the second-half performance showed the group's resilience heading into a pivotal weekend road match.
