Women’s Soccer Drops Road Match at Ottawa

OTTAWA, Kan. — Bethel women's soccer fell 3-1 on the road at Ottawa Saturday evening.

Ottawa struck twice in the first half, scoring in the 6th and 23rd minutes to take control early. The Threshers pulled one back in the 73rd minute when a defensive miscue by the Braves resulted in an own goal to make it 2-1. Just three minutes later, Ottawa answered with its third of the night to seal the result.

Goalkeeper Jacie Scott finished with five saves in the match, while Malayasia Larque, Beth Lloyd, and Lilli Reisser each recorded shots on goal as Bethel tallied four total attempts.

The Threshers drop to 0-5-2 overall and 0-2 in KCAC play. They return to action Wednesday with another conference matchup on the road at Tabor.
