LEAVENWORTH, Kan. — The Bethel College women's basketball team battled on the road Saturday afternoon but came up short in an 85–75 loss at Saint Mary. With the result, the Threshers move to 9–7 overall and 6–4 in KCAC play, sitting in a tie for fifth place in the conference standings alongside Bethany.
Bethel stayed competitive throughout the afternoon, closing the gap multiple times behind strong guard play and aggressive drives to the basket. Kendall Locke led the Threshers with 26 points, attacking the paint consistently and getting to the free-throw line, while Madyson McKinzie added 21 points and provided a spark in transition. Karlee Locke chipped in 13 points and eight rebounds, and Bethel finished the game shooting 42.3 percent from the field.
Bethel now turns its attention back home for a key midweek matchup. The Threshers will host Tabor College on Wednesday at 6:00 PM inside Thresher Gym in a rivalry showdown with conference implications.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early, as the Bethel College Booster Club will host its 3rd Annual Soup Supper prior to the game. The supper will be held in Memorial Hall from 5:00–7:00 PM, with proceeds supporting Bethel College Athletics.
