NORTH NEWTON, Kan. — The Bethel College men's basketball team continued its strong conference run Wednesday night, rolling past Tabor 93–58 inside Thresher Gym to improve to 14–3 overall and 9–2 in KCAC play. With the win — coupled with a Friends loss to Southwestern — Bethel now holds sole possession of second place in the conference standings.
Bethel set the tone early and never looked back, building a commanding 52–22 halftime lead behind balanced scoring, defensive pressure, and strong play on the glass. The Threshers controlled the paint throughout the night and consistently turned stops into scoring opportunities, stretching the margin in both halves.
Offensively, Bethel showcased its depth, with multiple players scoring in double figures and steady contributions coming from the bench. The Threshers finished the night shooting efficiently while limiting Tabor's perimeter looks and second-chance opportunities.
Defensively, Bethel was locked in from the opening tip, forcing turnovers, contesting shots, and holding Tabor to just 35 percent shooting for the game. The effort allowed Bethel to dictate pace and maintain control throughout the contest.
With momentum building, the Threshers now turn their attention to a road test this weekend. Bethel will travel to Ottawa on Saturday to take on the Braves, with tipoff set for 4:00 PM inside Wilson Fieldhouse.
