Women’s Basketball Wins Again at the Buzzer, Kendall Locke Hits Game Winner for Second Straight Game

OTTAWA, Kan.Kendall Locke delivered another unforgettable moment Saturday afternoon, grabbing an offensive rebound and putting it back at the buzzer to lift the Bethel College women's basketball team to an 80–78 win over Ottawa inside Wilson Fieldhouse.

The victory moves Bethel to 11–7 overall and 8–4 in KCAC play, continuing a strong stretch in conference action and adding yet another dramatic finish to the Threshers' season.

The game was tightly contested throughout, with both teams trading runs across all four quarters. Ottawa carried a slim advantage entering the fourth, but Bethel responded with composure, outscoring the Braves 25–15 in the final period to set up the late-game heroics.

In the closing seconds, Bethel's final possession ended with a missed shot, but Locke was in perfect position, securing the offensive rebound and scoring as time expired to seal the win. The basket marked Locke's second buzzer-beating game-winner in recent weeks and capped off another all-around performance.

Locke finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds, adding seven assists and two steals to her stat line. Karlee Locke provided strong interior play with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Madyson McKinzie added 15 points and hit key free throws down the stretch. Emersyn Eischen chipped in nine points, and Bethel's bench provided valuable minutes in a physical road contest.

Bethel dominated the glass, holding a 48–36 rebounding advantage, including 16 offensive rebounds, which proved crucial in a game decided on the final play.

Up next, the Threshers return home for a marquee matchup. Bethel will host Friends University, the current top team in the conference, on Wednesday night. Tipoff is set for 6:00 PM inside Thresher Gym.
