WINFIELD, Kan. — Bethel lost to Southwestern 2-0 in KCAC play. The Threshers finished with 12 shots and four shots on goal, but Southwestern scored once in each half.
Bethel's most sustained response came in the second half, when it entered one attacking stretch down 1-0 and took two shots and earned two corner kicks before the hour mark. Later in the half, with Southwestern ahead 2-0, Bethel generated another three-shot stretch as it continued to look for chances. Those sequences helped shape a match in which the Threshers finished with 12 total shots to Southwestern's 10, though Southwestern put seven attempts on goal while Bethel placed four on frame.
Diego Medina finished with five saves in 90 minutes for Bethel.
Hugo Duran recorded four shots, including two on goal, while
Calvin Bell added three shots and
Esnayder Garcia had two shots with one on frame.
