NORTH NEWTON, Kan. — Bethel pushed its winning streak to 10 games with a 72–55 victory over Ottawa on Saturday afternoon, improving to 19–7 overall and 16–4 in KCAC play.
The Threshers set the tone early, jumping out to a 23–11 first-quarter lead and never trailing. Bethel forced 21 Ottawa turnovers and turned them into 26 points, while also scoring 42 points in the paint.
Caryn Yoder led the way with 18 points, knocking down four three-pointers. Kendall Locke added 17 points, 10 assists, seven rebounds, six steals, and two blocks in a stat-stuffing performance. Karlee Locke chipped in 15 points, and Madyson McKinzie finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double.
Bethel extended the lead in the third quarter, outscoring Ottawa 19–6 to create separation. The Threshers shot 40.4 percent from the field and went 21-of-29 at the free throw line to close it out.
Bethel will look to keep the streak alive Wednesday as they travel to Tabor. Tipoff is set for 6:00 PM.
